There’s nothing I love more than helping people. I used to do that as a teacher. But now I use my skills to help organizations reach their potential by telling their stories in clear and engaging ways.

After earning my bachelor's degree in journalism, I chased my dreams to live abroad and taught English in Rome, Italy for a few years. That sparked my love of teaching, which I pursued when I returned to the US. I was accepted into a selective urban teaching fellowship, through which I earned my master's degree in teaching.

Four years in the classroom taught me a great deal about leadership, organization and clarity in communication. However, I could never shake the feeling that I was destined for a more creative career that would bring me back to my love of writing.

Making a career change was challenging and exciting and I know now that it was the right thing for me. I never could have imagined the various paths it would lead me on, from being internet-famous for a viral article to owning my own business. I love working in the storytelling space and can't wait to see the other places my skills will take me.
